The video we watched really got to my head. It made me think way more than I thought that it would. I didn’t want to believe it right away, it honestly made me a little angry. But as I kept listening and I put myself in their shoes I couldn’t do anything but think about what they are thinking. I honestly feel sympathy for them, but I wouldn’t tie religion in with it. Religion doesn’t have anything to do with why we are fighting. I don’t understand why they would think that it is. We have people there helping them because they don’t want what they are going through. The way is see it is the people are getting hurt by their own country more than they are getting hurt by the American soldiers. Americans soldiers seem to be doing more to help the people than their own country. I see myself fitting into the big picture of society by doing things for others and by treating my neighbor as myself. People don’t realize how much the smallest actions help the society. Some of the small thin...

Intelligence Article

Can Artificial Intelligence Predict Suicide? In this article the author comes out talking about how suicide is the second highest cause of death for young adults. They also say that the patients hide their true feelings as part of the plan. They say they do this so that they can avoid restrictive care. In the article they talk about many reasons why people may be having suicidal thoughts and/or behaviors. Not only do they say that major depression is doing this to people but many other things. Some of the things are developmental trauma, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and more. In this article they also talked about a study performed on two control groups. One of the groups had suicidal thoughts while the other didn’t. While watch and observing Just and a couple of his colleagues tried to answer these three questions: Do study subjects with differ from controls in terms of neural representations of death-related and suicide-related concepts, such that a computer can cons...

I think that this court case was pointless for many reasons. For instance, the couple getting married could have gone to a different business and they wouldn’t have to go through all this trouble. They photograph company also could have just taken the pictures because they would have been making money. They could have just looked past the fact that it is a same sex marriage. I really don’t think that this case should be brought to court. Yes, the judge could have looked at what they had to say and thought about doing the case a little bit longer, but I know I wouldn’t have brought it to court either. The only reason I would have brought it to court is the fact that the picture company discriminated the rights of the same sex couple but that’s not enough to bring it to court.             I believe that this should not be taken to court. I believe that the couple should have found another photography company to take pictures for...

Amending the 4th Amendment The 4th amendment states "Police officers have no general right to search for or seize evidence or seize persons. Except in particular circumstances, they must have a proper warrant obtained with a probable cause." I would add to this saying that game wardens also have to have a warrant to search or seize evidence.  Amended 4th Amendment Police officers and game wardens have no general right to search for or seize evidence or seize persons. Except in certain circumstances, they must have a proper warrant obtained with probable cause.
